The Ziath range of 2D datamatrix barcode scanners are compatible with 2D datamatrix tubes provided by all the major manufacturers in 24, 48, 96 and 384-well format racks, and larger capacity tubes such as cryo tubes (Thermo, Matrix, Nunc, ABgene, Micronic, REMP and Greiner to name a few). The decoded data can easily be exported into existing sample management systems.

Most sample libraries are stored at -80°C or lower, which can create problems during the scanning process. Condensation occurs on the under-side of the scanner window, interrupting scanning, until the condensation evaporates. Ziath’s Cryoprotection™ is a coating applied to the scanner window that eliminates the occurrence and ensures uninterrupted scanning.
